Hiring Faith Community Nurse

This position is responsible for the Health Services Ministry Program of the church.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Determine congregational health needs. Health education programs including: concepts of wellness, screenings; home visits (including shut-ins), hospital and long term care facility visits, listener, counseling, prayerful supporter, and navigator to providers and services. Serve as a program developer and organizer, a group leader and facilitator.

  • Address significant issues such as: medication therapy management and the relationship between values, lifestyles, attitudes, faith, and well-being.

  • Attendance and participation in monthly staff and committee meetings.

  • Other duties as assigned by the Senior Pastor or Administrative Staff.

WORKSKILLS:

  • Currently living out an active Christian faith and understands how faith impacts physiological & mental health. Self-directed. Comfortable with public speaking. Energetic. Flexible. Good sense of humor.

EXPERIENCE:

  • A minimum of five years of experience in some facet of Nursing Practice.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Registered Nurse with an active, current license in the State of Ohio.

  • Current certification in CPR.

  • Has personal transportation.

EDUCATION:

  • Graduate of a nursing program that meets the requirements as outlined by State of Ohio or similar licensing body in order to obtain a nursing license.
