What an exciting May and June we had here at Story Church and Twice Blessed Free Store!
It’s been HOT and muggy but we have been out and about in our Cudell Neighborhood meeting our neighbors and offering hope to everyone we meet!
In May, our RRUMC Outreach Committee worked hard to bring beauty and whimsy to the front of Story Church by planting new flowers and extracting old shrubs from the front of the building!
Their hard work and dedication to making the church inviting to our guests and congregation is something to be admired! What a great job and what a wonderful new look to our front yard!! A big THANK YOU to all involved!
Also, in May, on Memorial Day weekend, the Armored Disciples Motorcycle Ministry held their annual bike blessing and cookout here at Story Church! This year, they also dedicated an American flag for the flag pole out front.
Members of American Legion Post #421 were also in attendance to help hoist the flag and give it an honored and ceremonious ascent up the pole. Thank you to the 421 Legion Riders for their time and attention to our flag and to our country.
On Sunday, June 26, we had a marvelous time at the Edgewater Neighborfest! Our booth attracted lots of people and we had a great time talking with all of them! 98 of those people entered our free bike giveaway sponsored by Link Up Bike Ministry and two lucky winners walked away with an amazing Link Up Bike Ministry bicycle!! Congratulations to our winners and thank you to everyone who stopped by to chat with us!
TBFS is open on Saturdays, August 6, 13, 20, & 27: doors open 9:30am, worship 10:00- 10:30am, shopping 10:30am-12:00pm, doors close 11:45am.
