Churchwide Advent Study

This year’s church-wide Advent study will be “The Heart That Grew Three Sizes” by Matt Rawle

As we prepare to enter the sacred season of Advent in the not so distant future, we hope you’ll make plans to join us on the journey. The Advent study for this year will utilize Matt Rawle’s “The Heart that Grew Three Sizes.”

We don’t know why the Grinch hated Christmas. We just know he did. In this new study, Rawle explores the faith themes in the Christmas classic, How the Grinch Stole Christmas. These include “How did the Grinch’s heart grow three sizes come Christmas morning?”, “How did Christmas save the Grinch?”, and “Could it be that the very thing we think we hate is the one thing that changes our lives?” This Advent and Christmas season, look at a familiar classic through the lens of faith and see how Christ speaks to us through our culture.

This 4 week DVD-based study will also provide the focus for the Advent sermon series on Sunday mornings. Sign-up below or via the Church Office (office@rrumc.org or 440.331.7676) for one of several small group study options.

You will also need the accompanying book for this study. It will be available for purchase at a cost of $12 from the church office, or at the Sunday morning sign-up tables November 13 & 20. You may also obtain your book by purchasing online.
