Chancel Choir to Return this Fall!

After a lengthy hiatus due to the pandemic, the Chancel Choir will return to singing at the 10am Sanctuary service this September. Rehearsals will resume beginning September 1, and will continue weekly at their traditional time, Wednesday evenings from 7:00-8:30pm in the Sanctuary. The ensemble will be present in worship beginning Sunday, September 12.

The Chancel Choir is open to all people ages 16 and up who have interest. No audition is necessary. Those willing to be a part of the ensemble only need to come to rehearsal.

All voices are capable of singing, and no musical experience is necessary to join…really! No matter where you are in life, or how your unique vocal instrument presents, your presence and your voice is desired! All the tools those newer to singing may need will be explained and explored in rehearsals. Singing in a choir produces profound spiritual experiences, and is also a fantastically enjoyable way to connect with others in the community.

As the pandemic winds down, COVID precautions will be in place as outlined by professional choral advocacy groups and state health officials. If you are interested in singing, you must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in order to fully participate.
