In the Bible there are so many different names for Jesus. One of the most powerful ones is when he is called the “Lamb.”

Are we all in in our faith? Are there times when it seems less convenient, cumbersome, lonely, restrictive, boring, or even a plain nuisance to be all in?

As we celebrate Mother’s Day today, how powerful it is to remember the sacrifices moms make once they give birth to their children. Our lives are no longer about what we want or desire, they are all about putting that child before ourselves. Our faith calls for the same sacrifice and commitment.

God, as He always does, delivers on His promise, and when it comes time for us to deliver on ours, we simply shout, “OH NO!” What will God’s call look like for us to live into the WHATEVER IT TAKES moments of our lives?

That is a community that gives me FOMO. That is an “on earth, as it is in heaven” community that I want to be a part of and help to bring into existence. May we all have FOMO for that community.

Are we ready to defy the wisdom of the world and the waywardness of the past and finally experience the beautiful fellowship Christ invites us into?
