Why do we care so much about what other people’s eyes see when they see us. Balaam was so worried about his donkey making him look like a fool, that he beat it three times because he could not see what the donkey could see.
When all we worry about is what others see in us, we may miss the most important eyes of all, the eyes of our Lord. What does Jesus see when he looks at us?
