Virtually nobody gets excited when stewardship season comes around, as giving is always a sticky subject.
However, in truth, the Bible talks more about money and giving than nearly anything else, and presents it as a beautiful demonstration of our desire to mimic, and respond to, God’s faithfulness and generosity to us.
Sure, it’s difficult to part with our resources, but if we trust God’s Word, the rewards are well worthwhile. If we trust what Jesus says in Luke 6, giving is not only an act of obedience but also ensures we’ll receive God’s blessings…peace, hope, joy…in abundance.
