The Third Day: Emmaus

Fourth Sunday in Lent, UMCOR Sunday, and the Lent Cantata will be presented. Rev. Daniel F. Bogre will continue the Lent Sermon series, “The Third Day,” with the sermon, “Emmaus,” based on Luke 24:13-24.

Emmaus! The road of disappointment and loss for those two disciples who were leaving Jerusalem.

All that they brought with them were their dashed thoughts, dreams, and expectations of what life would be like on the other side of Jesus Christ being the long-awaited Messiah.

Our scripture today tells us that something/someone else was with them on that road of pain. YOU are never alone on those roads, even if you do not believe.
