Healed: You Forgot Something

Fifth Sunday after the Epiphany, Scout Sunday, and Joyful Sounds will be ringing. Rev. Daniel F. Bogre will continue the sermon series, “Healed,” with the sermon, “You Forgot Something,” based on Luke 17:11-19.

As we enter this sermon series called, “Healed,” I cannot promise that healing will happen for everyone that comes forward to be prayed over.

I can promise you this, that if you do not claim Christ as your healer, you have already lost the chance.

In today’s text we hear that only one of the ten lepers came back to thank Jesus for his healing. Jesus tells him that his faith has made him well.

Did the other nine experience the same healing?

Was it incumbent upon them thanking Jesus and acknowledging that only he has the power to heal?

I know one thing is certain. The man who thanked Jesus was healed because of his faith.

Do you have faith enough to thank Jesus even before you ask him to heal you?

If you do not, you forgot something.
