Messed Up: What Have I Done?

Fourth Sunday of Easter and Mother’s Day. Joyful Sounds will be ringing. Rev. Daniel F. Bogre will continue the sermon series, “Messed Up,” with the sermon, “What Have I Done?,” based on Genesis 37:19-28 and 44:18-34.

Has there ever been a time in your life when you feel that you have messed up so unforgivably that you tell God, “Just forget me. I am not worth it!”

We are so shocked by our own actions and decisions that we cannot even allow ourselves to be forgiven.

Those are crises of faith moments.

Those are the times when so many walk away from Jesus Christ in their faith journey, instead of realizing that is when they need him the most.

It is in those moments when God does his greatest work.

If you don’t believe me, just look at the Saturday between Good Friday and Easter Sunday.

From now on, may you, in those horrible “Messed Up” moments, let God do His greatest work.
